UFM-10 Samba

Samba is an all composite low wing plane with carbon fibre spans, smallest and fastest in the UFM family. With a ROTAX 912 UL or S engine and tow equipment, SAMBA can tow single seat gliders. The never exceed speed is 270 km/hour, cruising speed reaching 230 km/h. Design of UFM Microlights, including the SAMBA, provides a new quality of flying. Anyway it is not substitute of sport aircraft of higher cxategory only.The future development of the UL speed range will leave it unrivalled in its class. A choice of motors will be Rotax(1) 912 UL - 912 S and Jabiru 2200. You can buy very able plane with exceptional affordability and long life. A BRS. Chute can be added as an option.

The first prototype had roll-out in July 1999 and immediately won the gold metal on the Aerosalon Jihlava '99 and silver medal on the World Championship in Hungary with the crew Mr.Bezdek and Mr.Lukes.
Approval is from the Czech light Aircraft Association. This aircraft starts life with a pedigree that other manufacturers would strive towards.

Samba is very versital plane. With a low weight engine is can be used as an UltraLight, or with the Rotax 912 ULS engine (100hp) engine it is common that it is used as a glider tow plane. The photo to the left is a tost tow hitch.
This is a Samba with winglets. It is used as a glider with winglets and has a 21:1 glide ratio. Remove the winglets and have an economy cruse of 128 knots. This is a great plane for when the Sport Category comes into plan next year.
